About The Centrl

We are redefining the HoReCa industry by providing seamless, end-to-end turnkey solutions for procurement and kitchen infrastructure. From concept design to operational readiness, we act as a single, reliable partner for businesses looking to upgrade commercial kitchens efficiently.

What sets us apart is our centralized procurement expertise and unwavering focus on quality and compliance. By integrating vendor management and equipment sourcing under one roof, we eliminate fragmented ecosystems, saving our clients valuable time, excessive costs, and manual effort.

Founded by Smita Mahajan and Ayush Mishra, a civil cervices aspirant and a graduate of IHM Ahmedabad, Smita brings the business acumen, the structured thinking, and the relentless drive to close the trust gap. Ayush brings the industry depth, the operational scars, and the lived experience of being on both sides of the table.

Together, they don't just run a supply company. They're on a mission to make honesty the standard in an industry that's long deserved it.

That's The Centrl. And that's why it exists.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

With over two decades of combined experience in hospitality and industrial engineering, Smita and Ayush founded  The Centrl to bridge the gap between premium equipment and accessible turnkey solutions for commercial kitchens and HoReCa Supplies

Smita Mahajan founder of The Centrl

Smita Mahajan

CO-FOUNDER & COO

She didn't just choose entrepreneurship. She chose to fix something that was broken.

Smita grew up watching businesses being built — brick by brick, decision by decision. Coming from an extensive business family, she didn't just inherit an understanding of commerce — she inherited a deep respect for what it takes to build something real.

Her journey began with the pursuit of civil services — where she trained her mind to see problems at scale, think with structure, and lead with accountability. But somewhere along the way, she realised the biggest change she could drive wasn't through policy — it was through people.

She turned her lens toward the HoReCa industry — one of India's most vibrant yet underserved sectors — and saw a glaring gap: vendors who overpromised, clients who overtrusted, and a relationship built on anything but honesty.

Smita walked in to change exactly that.

With honesty, integrity and responsibility as non-negotiables — not just values on a wall — she set out to build a partner that the industry could actually rely on. Not just a supplier. A solution.

"If I can make one operator's life easier and one vendor's word worth something — that's impact enough."

Ayush Mishra founder of The Centrl

Ayush Mishra

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

He didn't study hospitality. He lived it — from every angle possible.

For Ayush, the hospitality industry was never just a career choice — it was a calling. A graduate of IHM Ahmedabad, one of India's premier hotel management institutions, he stepped into the industry with a fire that only grows when you truly love what you do.

He worked the floors and kitchens of Pizza Hut and Marriott — understanding not just how great hospitality is delivered, but what it demands behind the scenes. Then he took the leap — opened his own café, ran it profitably, and made a conscious, calculated exit. Not a failure. A graduation.

What came next was arguably his most defining chapter — working closely with 1,000+ brands across QSRs, fine dining, cloud kitchens and five-star hotels, solving procurement challenges from the inside. He saw operations break down. He saw money wasted on wrong products. He saw promises made and quietly abandoned.

And that's what stayed with him — the absence of honesty.

Nobody was willing to say "we can't do this." Everyone was willing to say yes and figure it out later — at the operator's cost.

So Ayush built The Centrl with one unbreakable rule at its core:

"We will give you our best — or we will tell you we can't. There is no third option."
